Writing stuff again, again, again. Less of a whinge this time.

In fact, I'm quite pleased.

As those of you able to keep your eyes open when reading the relevant posts may know, I spent a lot of time last week wrestling with the World's Worst Action Scene, which takes place in what was supposed to be the final story of my Spike/Giles WIP.



I say 'supposed to be' because I've now decided it's probably not the last story after all. When I posted the previous story in the series to my evil twin's LJ, someone did say they couldn't believe I was going to finish it in just one more chapter, and they were right. I think I'd be better off revising what I currently have, including the World's Worst Action Scene, and posting it, and then writing a final story/epilogue to finish it off.

I've decided this because a) I know how the story ends, but I've little idea at the moment how to get from where I am to there, and b) I can't face trying to work it out just now, and don't have time to write it anyway, given that I'd planned to post it for summer_of_giles at the end of June, but, what with one thing and another, am pretty busy that month.

So, can you expect to see the penultimate story, including what will by then (I hope) no longer be the World's Worst Action Scene on my summer_of_giles posting date? Well, no, because of the aforementioned not having much time in June. However, I've managed to write something else. Yes, I really have.

I can hardly believe it myself.

Okay, it isn't very long, but I've written something. I'm not going to let the comm down again. :)

Plus, the pressure of trying to finish the WIP to a deadline was getting to me a bit, and that's off now. I can work at it when I have time. Hopefully, it won't be too long before I post the penultimate part. And hopefully, I'll work out how to end it and get that done soon afterwards.

I do feel less under pressure now. On the other hand, it's probably just as well I'd decided to try and finish the WIP for summer_of_giles, as I would probably not have got as far with it as I have otherwise.
