Especially after reading showrunner Joe Henderson saying they're dialling back on the procedural stuff this season and bringing the mythology more to the fore.

About time, IMO. I love the first three seasons of the show (well, season 3 is less loveable), but the idea of turning a TV series based on the very dark Lucifer comics into a light-hearted procedural with the supernatural elements shoved into the background as much as possible (as, so Joe Henderson and Ildy Modrovich revealed, demanded by the suits at Fox) still strikes me as ridiculous.

Yep. The story doesn't work well as a light procedural. Also the writers aren't good at procedural. Procedural is hard to do well -- you have to know the world to write it. And, the original material doesn't really lend itself to it.

It's showing for me as trending on Netflix even though it's not available yet and I haven't watched the series on that service, so that bodes well :)

As of now, the three existing seasons are still on Amazon Prime here in the UK. As far as I'm aware there's not been any official word that season 4 will be on Netflix UK. I'm just assuming.

Here's hoping. I love the wings. Particularly naked Lucifer with Wings. It's Netflix, they can do it.

Well all three seasons are on Netflix in the US, and Hulu.
Hulu was the secondary distributor in the US, not Amazon. (sigh, distribution rights is so complicated.)

I like that they cast an Israeli actress as Eve. Hopefully that will head off any race wank, although it may cause an evolution wank.
