Sadly, Netflix haven't decided to un-cancel the show. On the other hand, according to co-showrunner Ildy Modrovich on Twitter and various of the actors including Tom Ellis himself, they have added some extra episodes to season 5. There are going to be sixteen now, instead of ten, so yay!

Again, according to Ildy, it's all down to the fans, so yay! for them too.

I am a fan, obvs, but I'm not part of the extremely active Lucifer fandom on Twitter. I just look on in awe.

I was going to write a brief pre-finale post about Game of Thrones and how I'm fine with whatever happens in it because I don't really care that much (except about Drogon the dragon, but I know he's going down with Dany, so :shrug:), but then I decided I don't care so much I can't be bothered to write it (I'm sure it'll look amazing whatever happens), so here's another post about Lucifer season 4.

I'm getting through it much quicker than I thought I would. I watched ep 6 this morning.

As of writing, the fan campaign to save Lucifer is still ongoing, mostly on Twitter. The showrunners have promised to tell the fans if/when they should quit, but they haven't done so yet. I'm not getting my hopes up, though.

So it could well be that these two episodes, which were meant to air in season 4, will be the last two episodes of Lucifer ever. All I can say is...

Oh well, some good news about Lucifer.

Fox is going to air the two standalones made for season 4 next Monday (no news yet as to whether Amazon will do the same in the UK). Also, on Twitter Ildy Modrovich has confirmed they'll appear on the DVD.

Less good (in one sense), one is definitely an AU (see article), while the other (again, according to Ildy Modrovich on Twitter) should have aired as no 5 or 6 in season 4, so will not pick up on the cliffhanger.

Speaking of which, I've watched the last episode three times now and am less and less satisfied with it as a series ending every time.

Sorry I haven't answered all your comments from the other day (not something I have to say often these days). In truth, I was/still am embarrassed by how upset I am about Lucifer being cancelled (not to mention The Expanse and Mozart in the Jungle, which I haven't said about before. Now, it only needs FX to cancel Legion (which they may or may not), and for the last three episodes of The Americans to air, to mean every show I'm currently enjoying on TV has been cancelled/come to an end, and only one of them with proper closure - assuming The Americans doesn't blow it at last knockings).

Effing Fox have only gone and cancelled Lucifer.

I hate them.

I pretty much hate the showrunners right now too. One of them just admitted on Twitter that they ended season 3 with a huge cliffhanger just so they wouldn't get cancelled.

Well that was stupid.

Never making the mistake of falling in love with a network show ever again.

ETA: To add insult to injury, I've just read that The Expanse has been cancelled too. Don't know how season 3 of that ends but bet it's on a cliffhanger too.

I enjoyed this episode quite a lot. Haven't enjoyed some of the comments I've read after it, though, from disgruntled 'shippers. Also not enjoying the fact that we still don't know whether the show is renewed or cancelled. What is taking so long?
