I just caught up on several episodes last night. It sometimes seems like nothing happens on that show... except everyone being themselves, but always fascinating to watch. Danny Strong was on last ep. :)
I guess I'm not really feeling the hate for Betty. She never pretended to be anything other than what she is. I was about Sally's age in 1963. My parents were the Jewish version of Don and Betty, my upbringing was similar, and my Dad's office was like the show.
Oh, I don't hate her. In season 1 I felt terribly sorry for her. Don treated her appallingly - and my sympathies remained with her all through the divorce, except in the way she treated Sally.
I'm sure that in future episodes there'll be plenty to get me back on her side.
You did, and they certainly have. It's wonderful. I was quite surprised by how swish the Sterling Cooper Draper Pryce office was. Didn't realise at first we'd skipped forward a year.
I wish I'd had time to do that before season 4 started. M and I planned to watch it together all the way from season 1, but we just haven't had the chance. :(

That said, I really disliked Betty in this episode. Poor little Sally!
Pete, on the other hand, was being quite bouncy and cute. I almost forgot that he raped someone in the previous series.

Sally will have some "issues".
