Ahem! Okay, the reason for the marmalade question. A while back I posted some pictures and promised the first person to spot a particular bird in one of the pictures (the bird was very far off) a drabble of their choice. dwyld got there first, and requested Spike/Giles and marmalade. Or maybe it was Spike, Giles and marmalade? Not sure.

Anyway, here it is. Once again, should probably say that drabbles really aren't my forte.

"Fine cut," Giles insisted. "Better for the digestion."

"Bollocks! Spike sneered. "Was fine cut at that poncy public school of yours, I bet. Easier to spoon-feed."

"We were not spoon-fed. Besides, everyone knows you went to public school too, Spike."

"Did not!" Spike shot back. "Was tutored at home like a good little nancy boy. And stop changin' the subject. Thick cut, so you can curl your tongue around it and lick…"

"Eww!" Buffy covered her ears. "It's gross enough you guys are dating. Do you have to compare your p-"

Spike interrupted, smirking. "You don't like marmalade, then, Slayer?"

I started buying Dundee when it still came in stoneware crocks rather than glass. I like Tiptree Tawny too, and Rose's Lime Marmalade is super! Fine-cut lacks texture and flavor.

Agree in every respect, except not quite so keen on the Roses. I do like lime marmalade but find that a little sweet.

Actually true, but I'm a line freak, using line rather than lemon in ice water and iced tea. I'll never have scurvy. :-)
