More Fics on My To Do List

Further to this post, which I made back in January about Fics on my To Do List...



...I see I totally failed to include my Spike/Giles retelling of season 7 series, which I should have done. The next story in that series is ready to go and I'm going to post it to summer_of_giles on June 28th. I've written about 1000 words of the subsequent part.

I also had this idea, which I'd forgotten about, but which I'd like to attempt (which doesn't mean I ever will), now that I've got a taste for writing Spike and Riley (not necessarily Spike/Riley but could be), which could come under the post-apocalyptic fic heading. It involves an alliance between the Initiative and vampires, with a special vampire division seconded into the Initiative under Riley's overall command. Guess who its commanding officer is.

I'd probably better try and watch Generation Kill before I attempt it, though. If I ever do. And that's an awfully big if.

Needless to say, I've done nothing about any of the other fics I mentioned in that January post.

Ooh, G/S! Very glad that's coming up.

Spike after the apocalypse I can certainly believe. Riley too, in a way, though I bet he finds it hard that he couldn't save the world. Interesting idea to play with.

If I ever write it - if - it wouldn't be a post-apocalypse fic like your summer_of_giles fic, I don't think (great story, btw), but more there's another threat so big that vampires decide their only option is to stop eating humans and ally with them sort of fic. So Riley would probably be in his comfort zone soldiering away. Spike, however, very much wouldn't be.

Mmm, yes I can see that. Spike being nominated to do human duty because he's such a known Slayer-lover... *g*

We should classify apocalypses more accurately, no? Is this a zombie apocalypse, or an Everybody's Dead Dave, or a seas are rising/night is falling or... Sorry. Admin is a habit.
