Being Human season 4 final ep etc

I'm sad that Annie has gone, but not too sad. Her story did seem to have come to an end and I like Alex - love the way she sparks off Hal - so am looking forward to seeing what they do with her. I also love the Tom/Hal dynamic and can't wait to see where they go with it. Hopefully, nowhere as bleak as they went with George and Mitchell.
I was surprised that Baby Eve actually died. TV programs are usually very reluctant to kill babies. However, I suppose they did it in as painless a way as possible, given that Baby Eve was with Annie in the afterlife and Grown Up Eve was happy about how it all worked out. Can't say it upset me. In fact, the only thing that did upset me in the ep was Cutler's horrible, gory death. I liked the character and would have liked to see him interact with Hal more. However, with Annie gone and the Old Ones disposed of (Mr Snow was really horrid) the whole finale had a kind of clear the decks and reset feel about it, so I suppose Cutler had to be tidied away too.
I know lots of people loved season 3 -and yes, I accept that was the way Mitchell's story had to end and it was good they had the courage of their convictions etc - but I freely admit I hated it, (though to be fair to season 3, it was season 2 and all that irritating religious fanatic stuff that meant it had to go the way it did). To me, season 4 has been a breath of fresh air. Loved it. It'll tell you something that I disliked season 3 so much I was thinking of getting rid of my seasons 1&2 DVDs, but I think I'll keep them now, and I'll definitely be buying season 4.
As for Homeland, I'm afraid that as of now I'm very disappointed in it. The elements that had me intrigued in the first two or three episodes seem to have been forgotten and it seems to have turned into a standard spy story. So far, so boring. Meh!
Finally, I'm sure the new series of Mad Men is wonderful. Sadly for me, now Sky have nicked it off the BBC, it'll be quite some time before I can judge for myself. Double meh!
