I'm beginning to think I'm the only one still having fun with this show, but not to worry.

Spoilers behind cut.

Last week I was getting irritated again by all the separate plotlines, some of which didn't seem to have a lot to do with each other. However, this episode started to bring them (almost) all back together, so I'm much happier. Jesus exorcises Possessed Lafayette in a scene that I personally found quite moving (yes, I teared up, so sue me). Presumably, at the end of the season he'll be able to do the same to Antonia and bring Marnie back. Antonia, meanwhile, is proving to be just as terrifying (if a lot more justified) than any vampire in the show, with a total disregard for the lives of her followers, completely consumed by her need for revenge (again, it's hard to blame her). Glad to see that in the midst of all this, Tara kept her head enough to warn Sookie off (even though I'm struggling to see why she would, seeing that Sookie is the worst BF ever) and that most of the witches understand that Antonia has gone too far when innocent people get hurt in the process.

Speaking of Sookie, I laughed the whole way through the soft-porn dream sequence. Alexander Skarsgard and Stephen Moyer were just hilarious. I wouldn't mind if the 'love triangle' story was resolved in this way, especially as I've always thought Bill had the sneaky hots for Eric. Very funny. However, I know it won't be, even though what Sookie said in her dream was perfectly valid in its way. No, the end of the season will probably take us back to the beginning of the season status quo, with Eric getting his memory back and forgetting about f**king Sookie in Narnia, and Sookie still on the outs with Bill but much closer to forgiving him. Or maybe the end of the season will feature Sookie waking up in fairyland to discover it was all a dream.

No Pam at all in this episode, but Nan Flanagan more than made up for the lack. She got all the best lines and her cutting response to poor Jessica's teenage woes was also very funny.

So, the only storyline still very tenuously connected to the overall plot is Sam's, which is only connected at all because of Sam's relationship with Luna and hers with Marcus and his with Alcide. Really, really don't care about any of them, except maybe Alcide a tiny bit. It's a pity, but I think the Tommy story has really ruined Sam for me as a character. Oh well, plenty of other stuff to enjoy.
