Dance With Dragons
Jul. 12th, 2011 12:23 pmNo, I haven't read it. Haven't even read the first book yet. Haven't even started it, in fact, as I'm currently reading an Alan Hollingsworth novel (when I'm not too tired to read at all, that is), and in my usual state of awe at the beauty of his prose.
Anyway, was just thinking that with this new ASOIAF book out, it's going to be increasingly hard to be a Game of Thrones show only fan, because the book fans are going to be giving each other knowing/pitying looks over our heads all the time whenever we say anything. Oh well, I am still determined not to be majorly spoilered for the show if I can avoid it.
Speaking of books, the BBC are screening an adaptation of Sarah Waters' The Night Watch tonight. I love that book so much! Am disappointed that it's only a one-off drama and not a 2/3 part series. Hope I can stay awake to watch it, but suspect I'll - as so often - end up catching up on iPlayer.
