I hope so. I was trying to cut out unnecessary waffle. I don't think I deleted any nice period detail in the process, but I may have done.
As for Darla, I imagine her and kind of resisting going back to the Master, even though he kept calling for her to come, until she just sort of.....broke, and wanted to go home for a bit. And of course once she got to Sunnydale, the Master would have made it impossible for her to leave. Not so much by force, I don't think, but the vampire equivalent of emotional blackmail.
