Writing stuff again, again. Or - to be accurate - more of a whinge.

Today, I've done more or less everything I can think of to avoid sitting down at the laptop and working on my final Spike/Giles season 7 story (my only WIP, that I'm determined to finish, if it kills me). And, when I could avoid it no longer, my mind just went blank anyway. I haven't written a single word. Why is plotting so hard?

This post is brought to you by me seeing that the latest round of seasonal_spuffy is open for sign-ups and being unable to bring myself to sign up for fear of not producing the goods. I have the same fear about summer_of_giles, and my deadline is still two months away.

I don't have a single idea for seasonal_spuffy. Unless I write the further adventures of Kitty!Spike (as seen on sb_fag_ends). People seemed to quite like that.

Mind you, I've no idea what he would do? Slay an evil vampire mouse? Say rude things about Angel, who, if he had been turned into a talking animal, would undoubtedly be a big, slobbery dog?

Actually, I've probably just written all there is to write about Kitty!Spike, haven't I?

I was going to do a post asking people to talk about their favourites of their own fanfics. Maybe I'll do it tomorrow, as I should probably pick my own favourite and write about that as well.

Think I'm just going to sulk now, or watch telly.

I have the opposite problem. I know exactly what I want to do with my WIPs, but I just can't get the words on the page. And I have dozens of ideas I want to write, but I just don't have the time.

Maybe kitty!Spike, like Fairy Spike, will turn out to have a life of its own. Anyway, the fact he can talk makes it more interesting. Snuggles with Buffy (or Willow, but not for Seasonal Spuffy, and a bit controversial). Wild affair with Miss Kitty Fantastico? Undercover gig in the kitten poker racket? Did the chip move over during the transmogrification or can he actually bite (sire?) people now?

If all else fails, Dawn buys/shoplifts him a flea collar?
