Okay, I am this close to finishing my worst action scene in the history of action scenes with 'and then they went home for tea', leaving it, and carrying on to the next scene.

Aargh!

ETA: On the plus side, my Spike/Darla fic, Paternity Suit, got nominated in the Sunnydale Memorial Awards, in the Unconventional Pairings category. Thanks to whoever nommed it. It's nice to be reminded that I could still write fics worth a damn not all that long ago (not to mention the first draft of that story was bloody awful too).

My problem lately is that I can't get myself to work on the writing I'm supposed to be working on at all. Deadline involved? Can't be bothered!

Nom nom nom! I went over to peruse the lists, and saw that you are also nominated in the "Best Characterization" category for Darla! Two noms in one!

I don't remember the draft I saw of that story being especially awful, darling. I think your memory is doing that thing again. Whassname? Or do you do what I do and try like hell to pretty the thing up before sending off to the beta?

I'm sure your action scene will be fine. I'm kinda hoping that they do get to go home for tea, because that would imply survival, which was not at all certain when you left off. *tenterhooks*
