True Blood season 6 ep 6
Jul. 22nd, 2013 02:32 pmQuick post about last night's True Blood, and I can't believe there are only four more episodes!
Spoilers behind cut.
When I saw the story about how someone would be dying in this season's True Blood, have to admit I hadn't thought of Terry. I was really scared Lafayette would be the one, while being sort of hopeful that it might be Sam. Not that I have anything against Sam as a character, but it's been years since he had a decent storyline (season 2, probably). Wouldn't have minded if Alcide had been the one for the chop either, after the way he's been acting this season. But no, it was Terry, and I'm really sorry about that.
:Gloom:
Elsewhere, I think Norah will probably die. She's surplus to requirements. I am glad that Willa succeeded in freeing Eric and Norah first, though, (rather too easily, I thought, did the guard who let her out of detention forget to put on his glamour-proof contacts?), rather than the two of them being trapped and Eric being forced to watch Norah die. I'm glad also that Eric was easily persuaded when Willa said they had to save Tara and Jessica too, not just Pam.
Was surprised Bill killed Governor Burrell still four eps from the end, but I suppose Sarah Newlin will probably take over his role. Also surprised that she didn't just shop Jason immediately. But I suppose now the governor's dead, she can, and most likely will. Poor brave, silly Jason.
As for the revelation about what Governor Burrell was doing in the Tru Blood factory, I'm not surprised, except that I didn't guess it sooner (didn't have all the pieces, I suppose, about this horrid vampire virus).
Lots of fun. Looking forward to next week.
Oops! Realised I forgot to mention Sookie and Warlow at all. This is probably because this week it was their scenes that bored me so much I zoned out while watching them.

Alcide can go any time now.
You're probably right that Sarah Newlin is probably the primary villain.
As for the rest... well, the show isn't crack for nothing.

Date: 2013-07-23 10:37 am (UTC)I did feel quite invested in Terry until last season. Somewhere, I lost it. Not sure when. Either way, though I'm sad he died, his death didn't move me like it once would have.

Date: 2013-07-27 05:50 pm (UTC)I can't help thinking Bill's pumped-up 'Lilithness' must be the wacky deus ex machina that will get our favourite vamps out of this fine mess, leaving the stage clear for him to be the Big Bad next season.
As always, annoying sub-plots concerning the werewolves and hapless Sam fail to raise any interest at all. Though I do still have a soft spot for Andy Bellefleur (sp.?) et al.

I don't think Bill will be the Big Bad next season. I think next season will probably start the rehabilitation of the character so he can get back with Sookie at the end of the series.
