Well, you know how the ice zombies' eyes are all messed up? Turns out they can't actually see, so they navigate by compass, kind of like pigeons. Problem is, the magnetic North Pole is just north of the Wall, and so the zombies have been walking in circles for the last 2 seasons. But as soon as someone hands them a GPS, watch out!
Definitely too sunny in Kingslanding. And they even never wear any freaking hats at the freaking north! Must be some north... Probably those zombies are just searching for some more decent north to come to.
Don't hold your breath for ice zombies or for dragons in Westeros. Martin lays those things in and then waits... and waits... and waits... and waits... (deep breath) and waits... and waits... and waits... and then goes watches football and doesn't write anything else for 6 more years.
I think (or hope) that Martin knows where he wants to culminate the series, but getting everyone in position for that means that some points of the story just stand completely still.
