Stephen Moyer (dear old Bill from True Blood) was just on the Jonathan Ross show. Seems like a very nice bloke. Good sense of humour. He's actually from Brentwood in Essex, and sounds like it. Ross asked him how he 'perfected' his Deep South accent, which I'm sure will amuse [livejournal.com profile] shipperx. :) He also demonstrated the vampire teeth, which was hilarious, especially when he put on a Bruce Forsyth face.

He and Anna Paquin are engaged, he says. Aww! Also, he says that he's got so used to doing steamy sex scenes with her on the show that when they're alone together getting it on, he finds he misses the camera crew. :)

Also, for [livejournal.com profile] shipperx and any other X-Files fans who might have missed it, this wonderful wallpaper from [livejournal.com profile] marvelgirl_art.

Using the Bill/Sookie icon seems even more ironic than usual today. :)

ETA: A-and I seem to have become addicted to using :) as a smiley face. Huh!

It's amazing isn't it. I really didn't realise he was British.

Just finished watching episode 2 of Tru Blood. You will just love it! *g*

I thought I read that he was Australian ... Sounds like fun, I'll try and catch it on the repeat.

Stephen seems lovely, and he and Anna make a great couple. They met on the show and have been together for quite some time now. :)

I seem to be addicted to the smiley face emoticon too! *g*

I'm not terrifically keen on Bill or Bill/Sookie. I'd say I'm fond of him rather than that I like him.

Yes, that's exactly how I feel.

Thanks.

Sookie and Bill amuse me. In a lot of ways, they shouldn't. Their oh-so-very-earnest thing for one another should hit all the wrong buttons. But somehow it just 'fits' them and I laugh in a not-mean-spirited way.

Although, if it follows the books, they're doomed (at least for some period of time).

Still, horrid accents and all, they amuse me.

I remember him in his first vampire role in Ultraviolet. Typecast!

LOL. He sounds like a very entertaining guy. I was lukewarm on True Blood to start with but now I really enjoy it.

Yes, I have the :) as a smiley face problem too. I do try to check I haven't used it too often but I do find it helps to indicate tone.

There are worse things to be addicted to than smiley faces. In fact, given the current state of gloom we should all cast aside our British reserve and go nuts.

Oh yes, and what a very unpleasant character he was too (both before and after vamping). Not like dear old Civil War Bill. Icon shows poor old Jack Davenport after being bitten by his former best mate. Thought it was a very interesting show, the first vampire TV show I'd seen. (I think it came out parallel to the first season or so of Buffy but a completely different tone.) Jack Davenport got the gig on the strength of his performance in This Life. The writer of Ultraviolet, Joe Ahearne, directed and wrote on This Life and later went on to direct Dr Who episodes.
