Mar. 5th, 2010 11:16 pmStephen Moyer (dear old Bill from True Blood) was just on the Jonathan Ross show. Seems like a very nice bloke. Good sense of humour. He's actually from Brentwood in Essex, and sounds like it. Ross asked him how he 'perfected' his Deep South accent, which I'm sure will amuse
shipperx. :) He also demonstrated the vampire teeth, which was hilarious, especially when he put on a Bruce Forsyth face.
He and Anna Paquin are engaged, he says. Aww! Also, he says that he's got so used to doing steamy sex scenes with her on the show that when they're alone together getting it on, he finds he misses the camera crew. :)
Also, for
shipperx and any other X-Files fans who might have missed it, this wonderful wallpaper from
marvelgirl_art.
Using the Bill/Sookie icon seems even more ironic than usual today. :)
ETA: A-and I seem to have become addicted to using :) as a smiley face. Huh!

I know I'll love True Blood 2 and Caprica. I just wish I could see them now!

Date: 2010-03-06 12:16 am (UTC)I keep telling myself not to do it, because I'm sure it must be annoying, but I can't. :)
Aargh! Done it again.
And Stephen does seem very nice, though I'm not terrifically keen on Bill or Bill/Sookie. I'd say I'm fond of him rather than that I like him.

Date: 2010-03-06 03:47 am (UTC)Sookie and Bill amuse me. In a lot of ways, they shouldn't. Their oh-so-very-earnest thing for one another should hit all the wrong buttons. But somehow it just 'fits' them and I laugh in a not-mean-spirited way.
Although, if it follows the books, they're doomed (at least for some period of time).
Still, horrid accents and all, they amuse me.

Date: 2010-03-06 09:23 am (UTC)LOL. He sounds like a very entertaining guy. I was lukewarm on True Blood to start with but now I really enjoy it.
Yes, I have the :) as a smiley face problem too. I do try to check I haven't used it too often but I do find it helps to indicate tone.

Date: 2010-03-08 06:56 pm (UTC)It's like a good-natured parody of Bangel. Or possibly Twilight the movie, not sure.

I did wonder how Jonathan Ross could think he was a good judge of how good Stephen Moyer's accent was.

Date: 2010-03-08 06:58 pm (UTC)I've liked it from the very first episode. It was the title sequence that sucked me in. So well done.
Plus, I loved all the political stuff going on in the background. Couldn't help remembering Buffy's sarcastic comment about vampires and did we have to call them 'undead Americans now?' In True Blood, that really is the case.
