No one can say nothing good has come of the Buffy comic. It's inspired the very talented sentine to search for and discover covers for future issues, the latest of which can be seen here.

And of course, there's also sockmonkeyhere's detailed critical commentary on no 34, which can be found here.

Warning about that second link, though, don't follow it while drinking. Liquid snorting out through your nose may damage your keyboard.

I've loved your covers. They look so authentic, and yet utterly daft too. Do you have them all tagged? I'm a completist. I have to collect the lot and I'm afraid I may have missed one.

You're probably better off. In fact, I know you are. I spend far too much time talking/thinking about the wretched comic which would be much better spent doing something else.

I don't know if it's because I still can't seem to settle down to do any writing of my own. It could be.

Oh, I would say one good thing has come of recent events - My obsession with Btvs is now well and truly over. Beyond done. Apart from the regret of wishing I'd never started reading the comic continuation at all, I'm feeling quite freed. Well, actually I'm still feeling a lot of seething rage, but the feeling of relief at no longer torturing myself with wanting what will never come will outshadow the rage eventually.

I know the feeling. I would like to look away myself, but it still exerts a horrible fascination. Like watching a slow motion car crash.

And it has definitely diminished my love for and fannish interest in the Buffyverse. No question.
