Okay, so I'm on my own this evening, and I just couldn't resist opening the True Blood season 2 box set.

Slight spoilers for ep 1 within, and please don't spoiler me for anything later.



Oh boy, I loved that! Parts of it were wonderfully cheesy (the Bill/Sookie scenes), and parts had me in fits of hysterical laughter. Bill trying to 'parent' Jessica is just so funny. The scene where he tells her the Compton household recycles and she gets all stompy. Poor old Bill! He's completely out of his depth, isn't he?

And Jason! Aww, he's such a dimwit! And so cute in his own daft way. Also, what on earth had Eric done to his hair? Was it highlights?

I do love this show. Time to go trawling for more icons.

That scene had me in stitches. He's just so rubbish at being a dad and you can see that all he really wants to do is sit in his nice comfy chair and read the paper. :)

I thought it was a bit of a slow start, to be honest, but the recycling was funny, yeah.
And what's happened to poor Lafayette?

Quite possibly. In fact, it was probably the creepy senator. I hope he escapes soon. And poor redneck. I suppose I shouldn't feel sorry for him, but what a grizzly way to go.

Hehe, Season two is really fun. I'm very much looking forward on what you'll say about Eric once it gets on. I do remember that ep 10 had a scene that made me all wooby though I never was really invested in the show before.

Let's just say that Bill and Jessica are pretty much oil and water the entire Season, which means there's a lot of chuckling going on in HBO households.

Yay, boxed set! I do rather love Jessica, brattiness and all; it's so much fun to watch her plague Bill.

My favorite ep of the seaon is "I Will Rise Up". I'd love to hear what you think of that one when you make it that far.

Oh boy, yes! I'm glad they weren't stupid enough to kill the character off. And I'm looking forward to seeing more. So much so, in fact, that I'm trying to practice some self-restraint so I don't rush through the eps too fast.

I love Eric. So damn awesome. Cracks a joke that makes you laugh your ass of without raising an eyebrow. Cudos for Alexander Skarsgård for playing that character so damn well.

Lafayette and Jessica are my favorites though. They really shine in Season two, you'll see. ;-)

I'm loving it all so far - except for the Maryann bits maybe. I don't hate them, but they don't interest me that much either. This seems to be an ongoing thing with this show. I wasn't intersted in the serial killer plot in season 1 at all.
