Fabulous episode, as always, though I would just like to say...

Spoilers behind cut

....that contrary to how it may appear if you take Mad Men and AtS into consideration, not all British men grow up terrorised by fathers who have beards, use a walking stick and have a bad case of Competitive Dad Syndrome.

Really.

It doesn't help that I've spent so much time in the Jossverse where the Daddy issues hibernate for the winter and make merry in the spring. (Of course, this totally contradicts my very good real life relationship with my dad.)

I wonder how badly the way we view life is shaped on the cliches and stereotypes expressed in TV? That can't be good.

I love how you and I both had to make the exact same post (almost) after that episode. Because come on, Hollywood!

You know, your reviews of Mad Men made me watch the show (just like True Blood!). Except that I loved it so much that I couldn't help but watch the four seasons almost in a row.

So, thank you for that :)

It is a strange simililarity, isn't it? Over here, there would be no walking stick.

I also had a Wesley flashback watching poor old Lane get whacked.

Do all nasty English dads have the surname 'Pryce'?

Heh, when I discussed the episode a few months back this same issue leaped out at me -- not so much that it was a stereotype as they seemed to be drawing on the very same guy.
