More about Caprica

Contains spoilers for Caprica
I'm about 8 episodes in to Caprica now and have just watched the ep in which JM makes his second appearance as Barnabas, and in which he has his little confrontation with Sister Clarice and forces Lacy to send the signal to blow up her car. I thought he was very good actually, very convincingly nasty. I also now believe all that stuff he came out with at some convention recently about what his character would have done in season 2, or I believe he believes it. He certainly played it that way in Barnabas's interaction with Lacy.
Not the only good stuff in the ep. I really like the show - am almost certain now that I would have liked it more than BSG if it hadn't been cancelled.
Also, I just made the mistake of watching a few minutes of Camelot. A few minutes was quite enough. Icon very appropriate.

Date: 2011-06-18 08:42 pm (UTC)Oh, yes, JM is really nasty and sinister all through Caprica. As is Clarice, of course. Barnabas is just...more. Reminds me why I love to hate zealots. I'm so glad you are enjoying it! I can promise you'll be rewarded it you stick with it to the (premature) end.

Date: 2011-06-18 08:46 pm (UTC)Camelot lasted about 7 minutes at our house. Shame.
Joseph Fiennes and Eva Green at least did some decent smouldering, but the script is so embarrassingly bad there wasn't a lot they could do with it. And Arthur and Guinevere are these horrid posh public school kids, who quite frankly deserve each other. It took me all of two minutes to know there was no way I could ever care about any of them.

Date: 2011-06-20 02:26 pm (UTC)I agree. I'm glad I'm in the process of watching it as GoT goes off the air for a whole year! :sob: At least I know I have something else good to watch.
