True Blood season 4 ep 6
Aug. 1st, 2011 06:03 pmI was hoping to watch another episode of Game of Thrones today, but I've run out of time and now I have to wait another week. :(
Oh well, I did manage to see yesterday's True Blood. Spoilers behind cut.
Blimey, this episode was - well, episodic. So much was going on, and though a lot of it is sort of connected, it was so bitty that it didn't seem like it. As usual, the parts of it that weren't connected at all - all the Tommy/Sam stuff in particular - was a complete waste of time. At this stage, I don't care what happens to either of them, which is a shame, because I used to like Sam.
The Arlene/Terry stuff doesn't seem to be connected to the witch plot after all, though it does involve black magic. Which is a shame too, because I like Arlene and Terry (or Terry anyway), and I'd rather whatever is happening to them could be resolved when Marnie is defeated, which I assume she will be, although after what happened in the flashback in this episode, we should probably be on her side.
Can't help being fond of Eric, Pam and Jessica, though, and sort of fond of Bill (as long as he stays away from Sookie, which he clearly is only going to do until the end of this season), and don't want Marnie to kill any of them. Of the three of them (I don't really count Bill, as I'm sure he won't die), the one I'm most worried about is Pam. I can't believe that attacking Tara is going to end well for her.
Amnesia!Eric continues to be cute as cute - even Bill thinks so- and I did rather like the end, because I was sure after Bill interrupted Eric and Sookie at the beginning of the episode that Alan Ball had decided they should never actually have sex, that it would all be just tease until Eric gets his memory back and Sookie falls out of love with him again. Also, I'm glad Sookie and Jason spent some time together at last, and that Jason isn't going to be a were panther, because that makes it more likely we've seen the back of Crystal for good.
:crosses fingers:
A-and I don't seem to have a lot else to say. It was fun.

God I hope so. On the other hand, if that's the case why did we have to suffer through watching all of that sturm and drang.
And I'm thinking that Baby Mikey isn't evil at all, just the doll who was cursed by the black lady.

Date: 2011-08-02 11:28 am (UTC)I totally agree with you here. I've never liked Tommy at all, I tend to fast forward thru his stuff. I really liked Sam at the beginning of the show, but lately not so much.
This week was fun, I'm enjoying amnesia!Eric too! But part of me is afraid that once he gets his memory back, he's going to be so freaked that people saw him like that, that he'll be uber-evil!Eric for a while to compensate.
I confess I'm a Bill/Sookie shipper though (have been since the first ep) although I do think it's good that they've broken up... for a while. I hope they get back together eventually. Sometimes I feel like the only fan who *likes* Bill, lol.

Date: 2011-08-02 04:23 pm (UTC)I'm pretty sure that Bill and Sookie will end up together, because Alan Ball has pretty much said so.

Date: 2011-08-03 02:51 pm (UTC)This is true, though of course they didn't demand it. It was him that wanted it. Eric wasn't really dangerous and he knew it.
Sneaky Bill.
ETA: I saw you posted a Dany/Jorah fic. I'll read it at some point, but I'm not quite sure when it will be.

No worries, the post isn't going anywhere.
And I'm already working on another D/J fic. :)
