Misfits season 3 ep 2

shapinglightOkay, whoever is watching Misfits, they're not talking about it on LJ any more, which is the way of it, I suppose. I can remember lots of discussion about the show in the LJ comms last year, and this episode looks like one that could've caused some huge arguments
Brief thoughts behind cut. Spoilers for the ep
I thought it was really good and dealt with a difficult subject - well, you can't say sensitively, because this is Misfits, but without shrinking from any of the unpleasantness and without glamorising it at all.
But maybe I'm wrong. Maybe, wherever people are discussing this show now, they're fulminating about how it was so full of fail because Mel had to turn back into Curtis to save herself, and then Emma had to be rescued by him. I dunno. I can't predict any more how people are going to react to things. I thought it was very powerful, and I like Curtis a lot more now (though I did like him before).
Other stuff. Kelly was brilliant, as always, and Rudy - astonishingly - has turned out to be even ruder than Nathan. I really didn't think that was possible. Also, I hope we see more of Mel.
