Hmm, not so sure I liked this one.

'Course, this being Misfits, it had its moments. I shall sort of miss the probation worker, but it does amuse me that the Misfits have managed to dispose of yet another one. And how many bodies is that now under the flyover? Five? Six? I've lost count. Also, I was so glad to see Curtis turn into Mel again. I thought we might not see her again, given that this season seems to have so little to do with the Misfits' actual powers. It's almost as if the Simon/Alisha episode with the creepy comic book boy put the lid on that - so much so that I was with the probation worker when (his last words) he sneered at the very idea of the Misfits as superheroes.

The story itself was sad and creepy, verging occasionally on the sentimental, but Lauren Socha was brilliant, I thought. Also, Seth and Simon kidnapping Jen's body from the hospital was hilarious in a sick, wrong kind of way.

What did other people think?

Yeah, I was amused that they'd got through another probation worker - and I'll miss him a bit as well. It seemed a bit odd to me that they weren't even trying to save him by putting pressure on the wound or anything, even though they tried to make sure he knew it wasn't Kelly. The scene didn't quite come off for me.

And I definitely agree that the powers seem to have taken a backseat this series. I'm glad they changed them up, but now they're all so useful (apart from Curtis'...) that they don't seem to be producing that many stories, though I'm still waiting for Rudy's power to really come to a head in terms of pay-off.

I found the story quite strange, to be honest, in that I liked all the Misfits in their part and the stealing coma!Kelly shenanigans, but didn't really care about/see much point in the other two. I think it would have played better if Jen was someone the Misfits knew - maybe one of the ubiquitous people from Alisha's school or something. I dunno.

I'm in a very comfy place with Misfits, though, so I don't have too many criticisms - I was watching the S1 finale again the other evening, and it's really cool to see that, funnily enough, the Superhoody!Simon plotline was already being set out. I didn't even remember, but Nathan and Simon are in a tight spot, so Simon turns invisible, but doesn't save Nathan (because he's been being a dick) - only then Nathan is saved by a hoodied figure on a BMX with a bandana over his face. It shouldn't surprise me to see writers thinking ahead, but I haven't seen it done in a while. (Possibly because I watch too much reality TV...)

I think it got mentioned that the precognition thing is Simon's power, but he can't control when it happens; I don't know if that's going to mean anything (also whether the random jealousy of running into Alisha and post-wank-Curtis is going to mean anything)... Who knows?

I think I was expecting Jen and/or Dom to meeeeaaan something in relation to Kelly or someone, but they just seemed to be fairly random, which I found off-putting. I mean, the Nazi episode was a bit random, but we learnt more about the characters - all Jen and Dom seemed to do was be an excuse to bump off the probation worker. Maybe it'll mean something in the following weeks?
