The storm woke me up last night and created all sorts of worrying noises on the roof/in the loft that didn't sound good :(

Found a smashed rooftile on the path this morning. Lucky it wasn't a smashed roof, I suppose.

Yes! A panel of our next door neighbour's fence is about to blow into our garden and they only had it fixed a year ago. Sigh!

It's extremely windy still here in the Midlands. This morning I had to go to Warwick University, and the amount of kindling (bits of trees) on the roads and paths was quite scary.

Sounds like you're living here! We've had two consecutive days of wind warnings (above 90 km/h) and had a storm last month causing $200M damage.

I live in a highrise at the west edge of our city, and we're the tallest thing around in most directions. Quite the howly-yowly we've had lately.

We're getting to the point where the shop shelves all look a bit like Mother Hubbard's cupboard apart from locally grown stuff.

I might even begin to consider stockpiling coffee and toilet paper!

Yes, same here. Also, I discovered a pane of glass on a little half roof over our balcony had blown out. Glass everywhere. :(

Yes,same here. Apparently, there were 112 mph gusts in the Pennines.

:whimper: That sounds horrible. There was footage of this skycraper hotel in Manchester on telly last night. The whole building was sort of whining because of the wind.

First week back at work and no sleep for the first 2 nights due to the wind causing banging and clattering. Not mention the rain hammering on the windows.
