I'm getting very excited about Game of Thrones season 2. Not long to go now. :twiddles thumbs impatiently:

To tide me over in the meantime, I just rewatched these Game of Thrones fanvids, all three of which I love. They're spoilery for season 1, obviously.

I saw an HBO promo for S2, part of which was filmed in Dubrovnik, which I found very exciting. :-)

I finished book 1 yesterday, tried to spread it out till season 2 but couldn't.

Have to say that while some characters are better written on screen the big plus for a book is the lack of whores, especially of Rosie Exposition. It was a nice suprise to not see her there. :) Also, the book was very helpful in fleshing out the background of the realm and characters.

Did you give it a try, I'm curious?

I am actually still reading Book 1. I've been plodding my way through it since last summer. Not finding it at all easy going, have to say, though it is good to get some background on some things, I agree.
