It gets better and better - the chief suspect for the Beast of Basildon is a Maine Coon called - wait for it... Teddy Bear.

That is NOT a lion/lioness. Nor is it a puma. If it is a Big Cat at all it's a lynx.

Personally, I thought it was probably a rare breed sheep, but it turns out it was most likely a large domestic cat.

Looks like an orange main coon cat or mix to me. While not lion size they can be bobcat size, and weigh up to 25 pounds and they do have a impressive main. My 18 month Main Coon mix is devolping his main, and still has another 18 months before he completely fills out his large feet.

Ah-ha-ha, that had me in stitches, had a pythonesque quality to it. And it might have been a Maine Coon too! :)

But let me brag about this one which is real.
That was a bear spotted on my company campus, and this time he tried to get in the main entrance!
100% real, I'm not joking!
