Homeland ep 7
Apr. 2nd, 2012 07:50 pmI didn't get a lot of writing done today - some, but it's even crapper than usual. My evil twin just cannot write with S in the house. I was going to make a post about my visit to Leighton Moss RSPB the other week, but I've run out of 'net time, so just a few words on yesterday's Homeland.
Spoilers behind cut
I do feel I got a little more of what I wanted from this series in the latest episode (how to explain it, I don't know). Not quite, because Brodie saying he became a Muslim because there wasn't a King James Bible available struck me as dodging the issue. Not to mention, apart from the praying, there's precious little sign of it. He still goes to church with his family and sings the hymns, he drinks - he drinks a hell of a lot, and in fact he and Carrie both seem to be appalling drunk drivers. At this stage, I'm not sure why he's saying he's a Muslim. It still seems more like him acting out somehow.
I think there must still be a lot of revelations to come about Brodie, because otherwise the above doesn't make sense to me. I hope there are anyway, as that's far more interesting to me than the spy/terrorist stuff. I don't care about that, beyond hoping that Aileen is either lying or mistaken about the identity of the man on the roof.
