shapinglightA quick post to say I really, really enjoyed this weekend's Doctor Who, which was a relief.
More behind cut, with spoilers.
Relief because last week's was so terrible I was about ready to give up. As you know, I loved the daft dinosaurs in space thing, which so many people seemed to not like, but the cowboy episode was just...awful. So awful I felt quite embarrassed for the show. And not just awful but, IMO, boring as well.
This week's, though, had all the best things about Moffatt's version of DW in it - the wacky premise that you would probably never have thought of yourself, the domestic details, the Doctor being bonkers (the sequence where he's bored and starts painting the Ponds' fence was hysterically funny), Rory's dad (love him to pieces). It was just really, really fun.
Next week's ep looks like it might be a bit of a downer, though.
