Otherwise known as how I solved my Sunday night telly viewing problem:

More behind cut with spoilers for Being Human, Homeland and (briefly) Upstairs, Downstairs.

I say briefly for that last one, because I only watched about twenty minutes of it, thought it very dull (Art Malik in a completely inappropriate turban for the period was the most interesting thing in it), pondered that the actor playing Chamberlain looked very like the real Chamberlain and wandered off to make a cup of tea.

Being Human was quite fun, though. I like the Hal/Tom dynamic, and enjoyed the stuff with Regus, even though it was quite creepy. Seems like I was wrong about him having some convoluted plan to save vampire-kind by keeping the baby alive, given that Future!Eve wants the baby dead (still don't understand that bit). Anyway, the episode was the most angst free in ages (plus fun flashbacks!). I enjoyed it.

Finally, there's Homeland. First impressions: that first scene where Clare Danes's character is driving through Baghdad on her own, then when she gets stuck in a traffic jam abandons her car and walks had S and me looking at each other and rolling our eyes. Nah. Just nah. That apart, it was fairly gripping stuff and I think will suck me in because some of the characters are attractive (I don't mean physically) and the acting is that good. But honestly? I don't believe for one moment that someone as unstable as Danes's character (can't remember her name, I'm afraid) would be offered a cleaning job in the CIA, let alone a field agent's. Or am I giving them too much credit?
