Thought I should do one of these posts before the year gets away from me completely.

Once again, I didn't write much and what I did write was mostly drabbles and short fics for [livejournal.com profile] sb_fag_ends, so it doesn't seem worth organising the post into separate months.

So, in order of when I wrote them, here are the long(ish) fics:

Casablanca. Posted in May 2015 for the spring round of [livejournal.com profile] seasonal_spuffy. Spike/Buffy, PG. Spike POV. Set ten years post-NFA. To say too much would spoil the surprise, so, basically a girl goes into a bar. [livejournal.com profile] red_satin_doll has since made me wonderful banners and icons for this story.

Then, written for [livejournal.com profile] summer_of_giles in June 2015:

Lies My Lover Told Me, Giles/Olivia, PG. Giles POV. Set just post-Chosen, Giles meets up with Olivia in an LA diner, but things don't go quite as he imagined.

In November 2015, I took part in the [livejournal.com profile] iwry_marathon for the first time ever. The result was, Third Wheel, Buffy/Angel, Darla/Angel, PG-13. Buffy/Darla POVs. Set during Surprise in BtVS season 2, this is an alternate take on Ethan Rayne's costume spell from Halloween in the same season. This was really hard to do, actually - not because of writing Buffy/Angel, but because of writing teenage Buffy. If I write for the comm again, I'll probably write something set post-series.

Once again, [livejournal.com profile] red_satin_doll made me fabulous banners and icons for this story. So kind of her.

For the autumn round of [livejournal.com profile] seasonal_spuffy in November, its tenth anniversary round, I wrote:

Suburban Disturbance, Spike/Buffy, post-series, PG. Buffy POV. This has to be the most domestic fic I've ever written. Even so, Slayer-type hi-jinks inevitably ensue.

Finally, for [livejournal.com profile] noel_of_spike in December 2015, I wrote my longest fic of the year (a whole 6000 words!):

Charity Begins At Home, Spike/Drusilla, Angelus/Darla, PG-13/R (for bloodthirstiness). Spike POV. A Fanged Four Victorian romp, with evil aristocrats, eviller vampires, Drusilla the pirate queen, and some very lucky kittens.

Short fics and drabbles were mostly for [livejournal.com profile] sb_fag_ends, as I said. The few that weren't were as follows:

Ally, Spike, PG. 100 word drabble, written for International Fanworks Day in February 2015. Spike's thoughts on the Slayer spell in Chosen.

Five Things Giles Regretted and One He Didn't. Set during/around the time of Chosen, PG. Giles's thoughts about the six season 7 cast regulars, Buffy, Xander, Willow, Dawn, Anya and Spike in the hours before the final battle with the First.

In August, there was an incredibly irritating (and extremely nosy) household meme doing the rounds. I let Spike answer it for me.

Household Meme, the Vampire Version. PG-13/R(ish, for language).

In October, I did the Halloween Nekid Numbers Challenge on [livejournal.com profile] nekid_spike. My numbers were, Spike paired with Wesley or Drusilla/bones/woods/spanking.

Placeholder, Spike/Drusilla, PG13. Spike POV. Set pre-series (1996-ish), on the German/Czech border. Turns out ultimate evil has a very long memory.

I got quite into writing Spike/Drusilla towards the end of the year, actually. A pity that most things involving them must inevitably lead to a great deal of unpleasantness.

Finally, the drabbles/ficlets for [livejournal.com profile] sb_fag_ends, some serious and angsty, some just plain stupid.

January

Pretty Little Liars, Spike and Dawn, PG. 300 words. Angsty.

February

The Heart's Filthy Lesson (many thanks for the title, Mr Bowie, RIP). Spike's thoughts in Chosen, PG. 100 words. Angsty, with a side of self-pity.

Hunger, Spike's thoughts in Dead Things, PG13/R. 100 words. Angsty.

March

Rest In Peace, post-The Gift, PG. 100 words. Spike POV. Very angsty.

April

Trojan Horse, Spike's thoughts mid-season 7, PG. 100 words. Angsty.

May

Pest Control. Spike has a spot of bother while doing the ironing. PG. 250 words. Third person omniscient. Very, very silly.

June

Love Is Rare, Buffy's thoughts in Dead Things, PG. 100 words. Angsty.

July

Knocking on Heaven's Door. Spike's thoughts in Afterlife. PG. 160 words. Angsty.

August

Demolition Man, Spike's thoughts in Seeing Red, PG13. 150 words. Angsty. Also, if mention of the attempted rape upsets you, please do not read.

August was also [livejournal.com profile] sb_fag_ends'fifth anniversary, so we celebrated with a week of comment fics. Mine are gathered in this post. They run the gamut from angsty Spike/Illyria/Buffy to extremely stupid Shakespeare quote fic, to the first (to my knowledge) genuine Narwhalverse fic.

September

The Dead Girls of London, Spike's thought pre-BtVS season 7. PG. 300 words. Angsty.

October is always Halloween challenge month on [livejournal.com profile] sb_fag_ends. In the build-up to it, I wrote:

Odontophobia, post-series, PG. 650 words. Buffy POV. Very silly.

During the Halloween Challenge (in which my fellow mods, [livejournal.com profile] bogwitch and [livejournal.com profile] quinara excelled themselves with their creativity), I could only manage to fill one prompt. Better than none, I guess?

Familiarity Breeds Content, set vaguely in the comicsverse, PG. Buffy POV. 350 words. Silly again.

November

Penance, Buffy POV, mid-season 6. R, with non-graphic BDSM elements. 150 words. Very angsty.

December

Finished the year with a ficlet that was neither silly nor angsty.

Gift of the Glib, Spike and Dawn, PG. Dawn POV. 300 words.

Not too bad, I guess. Better than 2014 anyway.

Apart from the writing, the only fannish things I did in 2015 were to attend [livejournal.com profile] writerconuk for the first time in two years and to meet [livejournal.com profile] rebcake in Paris for a few days. Enjoyed both things enormously.

Also, as [livejournal.com profile] gillo has pointed out, I co-moded the BtVS rewatch on [livejournal.com profile] fantas_magoria beginning back in February 2015 and now at the beginning of season 4. We ought to get back to it soon.

You overlooked your steady contribution to the rewatch throughout the year - definitely fannish and scarcely negligible!

Frankly, your "not very much" looks pretty impressive from here.

Looks like rather a lot to me. I think you're being a bit hard on yourself here. Have a pat on the back!

Boy I missed all the drabbles and brief ficlets. I agree, looks like you were more active than you thought!

It's a very respectable list! I'm always grateful for everything you write and look forward to whatever you come up with in 2016.

You did excellent work this year! I think I might have even missed a few things. So many shorts!

I was so happy we got to spend some time together in Paris. Next time will be less hectic, I promise.
