Game of Thrones Season 6 Ep 5
May. 23rd, 2016 10:03 pmJust watched this and...
Spoilers
... firstly, yay! no boring Boltons! Secondly, they're killing off minor characters at a fairly steady rate this season, aren't they? But at least Hodor (not to mention Bran's direwolf, and there are now only two left of the entire litter) had an heroic end, unlike poor Osha. Thirdly, anyone else think it makes no sense for Jon, Sansa et al to leave Castle Black and ride south right into Ramsey's clutches?
No, I thought not.
And anyone else want to punch Littlefinger in the face for trying to poison the Sansa/Jon relationship?
Yeah, I thought as much (also, go, Sansa in that scene. I just wish she'd let Brienne kill Littlefinger).
Other random thoughts:
The Dany/Jorah scene made me quite tearful. I suspect it's their last. If so, at least he can die knowing she cares about him.
What the hell is Tyrion up to, inviting a bunch of religious nutters into Meereen? Mind you, Cersei did the exact same thing with the High Sparrow and his bunch of killjoys last season. Is it some kind of Lannister family failing?
Learning how the White Walkers were created, and the final big fight scene were awesome, but we still didn't learn what happened to Benjen Stark.
Nice Richard E Grant cameo in the Arya scene. I hope this is where she tells the Faceless God to eff off.
Sorry. Not a very good review, but better than nothing.
