The Last Kingdom Final Episode

Probably of interest only to peasant and me, so it's possible I'm only making this post so I can use the above icon.

My TV shows are one thing I did manage to keep up with (for the most part) while I was staying at K's place. The Last Kingdom season 2 ended during my first week there.

I did love it, though, as anyone (I don't think anyone did) who read my post about the penultimate episode will know I completely guessed what was going to happen with the whole Erik/Aethelflaed thing. Sad, they were a lovely couple. Can't say I found it dissatisfying, though.

On the whole, the characters I wanted to survive did, so I'm happy about that. Pleased, too, that King Alfred and Uhtred didn't end up as implacable enemies, though they'll never be friends.

One thing that really bothers me, though, is what happened to the very, very brave captive girl who pretended to be Aethelflaed during the escape attempt. May be better off not knowing, but kudos to the nameless girl anyway.

I hope there'll be a season 3. Very much hope.

Also, sorry this post is a bit crap. I don't think my brain's working very well at the moment. ;(

Yes, I worried about the nameless brave girl too. Just maybe they will pick up on her next season.

I found the Erik/Aethelflaed love story rather touching and very believable. There was no way they could have it end any differently, obviously, but I was still really rooting for them which I guess shows how well they were doing it.

Yes, they did to it very well, didn't they? And I'm quite tickled to think that Erik and Aethelflaed's child will end up as heir of Mercia.

It hasn't yet, no. I suspect whether it is or not depends on whether Netflix want to carry on providing most of the money.

Well I have to admit I quite like the word guyliner. Never heard it before. Makes it far harder to take the Danes seriously now you've pointed it out.

Well pretty much all my DVD watching has stalled while I binge on Suits. I am still finding Lucifer okay but not world shattering. I very much liked the wings episodes, and I adore the psychiatrist (the actor is also in Suits btw and she's great there too) but the procedural stuff is fairly ho hum. I mostly want more about Lucifer's daddy issues since that is after all the show's hook, and they are dragging that out very slowly indeed.

There is plenty of it, but it's sort of scattered around, as it were.
