Quick question re my [livejournal.com profile] plot_wout_porn story.

I'm still faffling about with last minute nit-picky corrections but it is essentially finished. I'm just wondering how to post it now. Posting is from 12th-15th June, and since I'm away over the weekend (yet again!), I had been planning to post my story all in one go on Monday 15th. I made this decision based on the fact that when I last posted a fairly lengthy story (apart from AoU), it was my last year's entry for [livejournal.com profile] seasonal_spuffy and I had to post it all on my posting day. But I'm not constrained like that this time, of course.

A poll, just to make things easier.

A measured post will bring out more response I find.

I think I'm going to completely fail this, I only have one free night to finish it before I fly to Toronto.

Thanks. I used to be very good at deadlines, but I seem to have slipped lately. I only have an ending to write (more of a punchline really) but I can't think of one. :(

How long is your story, sweetie?

Depends how long the story is. I'd say any more than 3-4 chapters, it should get broken up over a couple days, even if it's unevenly spread out. I personally don't like it when my flist gets spammed with a long chapter fic that pushes everything else off the front page.

Definitely all in one chunk. That way people can make their own decision as to when or if to pause while reading.

Oh, they all /say/ they want it in one lump - they're thinking of their own greedy selves, wanting to read read read!

But you get more comments if it's spaced out in multiple parts, and the pauses between sections will make the whole a longer experience, more to savor.

That's my un-humble opinion, anyway. ;)
