Great line. Also enjoyed George's wrestle with the table from hell Ikea.
I quite enjoyed the spotlight on Annie this episode. Kudos to the writers that they keep coming up with interesting story lines for her that add to her character's development.
Oh, I love Ivan! For some reason part of me adores that he and Daisy are still painted as a power couple despite the way they've only spent one episode in each other's company. Massive love + independence = WIN.
I quite liked that Kemp got a backstory, but I'm not sure I'm getting what I want from Lucy's storyline. When she said she was scared of herself I thought they were going towards a 'what does it mean if you can kill in cold blood a demonic creature that's still possibly capable of remorse?', but they seem to be shying away from that particular layer.

Yes, but now you mention it, it's a bit odd that we've seen so little of them together. I wonder where Daisy's gone to? Also, Ivan didn't really seem that happy about her leching after George, but maybe that was a speciesist thing?

I agree. Instead, we're getting 'I'm scared of giving in to the evil demon again. Quick! Let's kill them all.'

I may have read it wrong (and I've kind of forgotten now), but it felt to me a bit like Ivan was more annoyed at the way Daisy was clearly trying to mess with George's head for kicks and giggles, rather than the actual leching. But I don't know. She needs to come back too!

I kind of want to seen them the Buffy S5/6 DVDs and go 'Look, issues! Deal with them! Stop taking obtuse pride in not having seen Buffy and move on from where it left off! It will make your show better.'
It's very comforting that the episodes that aren't outstanding still have so much to offer. It's just *good* TV - sadly rare and precious.
Ivan's Twitter feed! Come on, it was a great moment. And Argos was even better. Mitchell/George slashers got potential screencaps and a couple of lines to treasure too. Annie's mum expressing her grief to the psychic, having come in as a sceptic, was powerfully written and well played.
I am rather with quinara on Lucy's plotline, but the actress remains outstanding - she convinces me she has layers and complexities that mean I'm never entirely sure where she will go next.

I agree. There was a lot of wonderful stuff in this episode, as you enumerate. I just found all the heavy-handed religious stuff with Kemp and Lucy a bit hard to take.
It wasn't the best ep of the series, but it was still a strong one and moved the story along nicely. I love Ivan! Both the Argos line and the Twitter reference were fabulous. :) I hope this isn't the last we see of him, but that last shot of him didn't look too hopeful, did it?

I'm pretty sure he's not dead. I can't believe they would introduce such a substantial character just to kill him off like that. I think he and Mitchell will turn out to be the only survivors.
