I've finished the world's worst written action scene! Hoorah.

The story's not finished yet. Also, I'll have to re-write most of what I've written, probably several times. But still.

I did manage to get in a reference to tea.. :)

I actually cracked open the story I was procrastinating on and made a good headway. 2500 words in. Hope it come in under 7k but it's looking like it wants to be longish.

5k and done! \o/ I feel awesome. And yet I can't think of what to do for my mod challenge this month, even though I've been challenged to do Spangel, and I obviously have a taste for that, lately.

She wanted "Angel teaches Spike a lesson. Preferably a nasty one." And I'm all "ooh yes that sounds good" but not sure how to make this different from all my other fanged-four era Spangelus stories!

You set a high standard for your writing and I love that. Obviously your stories benefit from it as I've yet to encounter anything poorly written from you.

I'm really looking forward to reading this fic although my heart weeps a little at the prospect of losing you as a BtVS fanfiction writer.

But I do understand that you cannot keep up the interest or the inspiration for ever.

Whichclothes seems to have stopped writing fanfiction as well... Two of the finest writers within the BtVS realm of fanfiction, sobs.

But oh, my how I love what both of you've written.

Thank you once again for creating so many wonderful stories, Shapinglight and for the many, many hours of entertaiment. I cannot begin to imagine how many hours they must have taken you to write them in the first place!

Well, it involves Spike getting a new wardrobe which includes a sailor suit, so I suspect the general public would not be interested. ;> But I am planning to try to write something intended for Summer of Giles which will be for public consumption, although probably just as silly.

And yes, trying to write when blocked is like scrabbling at a granite wall with one's fingernails, but I decided I have to learn to just keep writing when I'm blocked because otherwise I won't write anything.

That's pretty much what the last week has been like. I've felt I'd rather do anything - even cleaning - than writing, but I've made myself.

Always resist the insidious urge to clean. There will always be grime, but unfettered time to write words comes rarely. And well done for forcing yourself to write!

Hmm, I'm not sure any more. I used to think so, but now I find editing very hard too - especially early on when you have to re-write whole scenes. Which I know I'm going to have to do.

It's probably the least exciting action scene ever too. I was actually re-writing it in my head while I was writing it. ;)
