Still working my way through the first (I hope it's only the first, seems Straczynski and the Wachowskis have a five year plan) season of Sense8. Now two episodes from the end.

Spoilers behind cut.

Have to say, I love it more and more with every episode even though part of me still thinks it's all a bit pretentious. I love every character and their significant others (well, Kala doesn't have a significant other, unless you count Ganesha, and neither does Sun), even Riley, who I took a long time to warm to. I especially love Lito, Hernando and Daniela. I would happily watch a TV show about the three of them if someone would only make one.

Unfortunately, the corollary of loving them all so much is that I'm really, really worried about something awful happening to one of them. :Whimper:

I was going to ask if any of you have been watching Agent Carter now it's turned up on FX in the UK, and if so, what do you think of it? Also to remind everyone to watch Ripper Street this Friday. That appears to have done really well for Amazon Prime, as I read that they've commissioned two more series. I ought to be pleased about this, I suppose, but to be honest, I think season 3 ends so perfectly that to make more runs the risk of spoiling it. We'll see.

I haven't watch Sense 8 yet, but I'm concerned they might cancel it and I am getting fed up with getting involved in something to find that it's cancelled. I shall do so if it gets another series.

I am watching Agent Carter and very much enjoying it. I like how she kicks arse.

I haven't watched Ripper Street yet, but again, it's on the list (which is far too long!).

Actually I don't mind AoS, but that's because I like Coulson's character - although the last few got a bit boring. I'm willing to give it another chance for the next series. It was nice to see Agent Carter in Ant Man ;)

Yes she is in a flashback. She's made up to look old and the others are digitised and made to look younger. It's very clever. I'd recommend it - it's a bit more 'human' than some of the other superhero films and a little bit more tongue in cheek I think.

Oh thanks for the reminder that Ripper Street is back on Beeb.I used to enjoy the show on a Sunday night.

I've seen all of Agent Carter and love it to pieces. I have so much respect for Hayley, also Peggy is all kinds of awesome. So pleased they renewed it for Season 2

I did watch Ripper St. Found the dialogue/ writing a little clunky compared to what I remember of the last season. I would have thought that only the funding had changed on the move to Amazon Prime and no differences in the writers room. Took me a while to get into the story.

Agent Carter has so much potential, I'd like to see her come more into her own now too. I guess she'll still be facing the usual misogyny but a change of location should be interesting.

Oh I will keep watching. TV is a little light right now with so many shows already finished for the season.

I know that 'De Sousa' and 'Jarvis' are set to return in Agent Carter but not sure about the rest of the agency.

Enjoying Agent Carter and trying to ignore anachronisms like tea bags! It looks great and the leads are all personable, especially Hayley Atwell and Enver Gjokaj.

It's great fun - only seen 2 episodes so far but will definitely watch them all.

I felt the same way about it. I'm still not sure how great I think the plot, but I really adore the characters. And I agree, I could totally watch the Lito, hernando and Dani show!

I also found that Sense8 grew on me more and more with each episode. By the time I hit the wonder of the finale, I definitely loved it.

Also, I watched and enjoyed Agent Carter. I found Peggy Carter to be an engaging heroine, and it fit nicely into the tone of the Marvelverse.

Oh, agreed. I'm pretty sure we can be confident about a second season, thankfully.

Yes, I really loved those last couple of episodes, too. I feel that all that earlier investment in character work completely paid off there at the end. It was so beautiful when the cluster really started to work as a seamless, instinctive whole.

You know, I found out I was going to Iceland midway through mainlining Sense8, so I was particularly interested in the Icelandic scenes. And sure enough, while I was wandering Iceland, I recognized some places from the show.
