More on Sense8
Jul. 30th, 2015 04:19 pmStill working my way through the first (I hope it's only the first, seems Straczynski and the Wachowskis have a five year plan) season of Sense8. Now two episodes from the end.
Spoilers behind cut.
Have to say, I love it more and more with every episode even though part of me still thinks it's all a bit pretentious. I love every character and their significant others (well, Kala doesn't have a significant other, unless you count Ganesha, and neither does Sun), even Riley, who I took a long time to warm to. I especially love Lito, Hernando and Daniela. I would happily watch a TV show about the three of them if someone would only make one.
Unfortunately, the corollary of loving them all so much is that I'm really, really worried about something awful happening to one of them. :Whimper:
I was going to ask if any of you have been watching Agent Carter now it's turned up on FX in the UK, and if so, what do you think of it? Also to remind everyone to watch Ripper Street this Friday. That appears to have done really well for Amazon Prime, as I read that they've commissioned two more series. I ought to be pleased about this, I suppose, but to be honest, I think season 3 ends so perfectly that to make more runs the risk of spoiling it. We'll see.

Date: 2015-08-03 05:23 pm (UTC)So glad you like Sense8. I can't believe there won't be another season if Netflix are making another season of Marco Polo (which they are). I don't think that had a huge audience either. In fact, the only thing that would stop them, as far as I can see, is a pivotal member of the cast dropping out.

Date: 2015-08-06 01:06 pm (UTC)Riley's past experiences were so horrendous that I can see why she had a death wish, but despite being somewhat frustrated by her still, I'm glad she didn't die.
And the Icelandic scenery was amazing!

I'm going to watch it again, I think. My first viewing was slow -partly because I got so attached to the characters so early on I was almost afraid to watch in case something awful happened to them. Now I know they all survive, I'll happily watch it all over again.
Mind you, if there is a season 2, I'll end up feeling the same again, plus I'm afraid the ante will have to be upped and there are bound to be casualties at some point.
