I think it's vol 4, unfortunately. I'm afraid I still don't think it's any good. Perhaps if season 2 and the first part of season 3 had never happened, I might not think so, but now I fear it's too late.
:-/ I guess that's true. I forgive too easily sometimes. I have an attention span of shiny, so when things start becoming enjoyable for me again, I tend to forget about the bad things I hated.
It was the one where Matt, Mohinder and Peter are interrogating Noah Bennett.
I just got fed up with all the double-dealing. People change sides in this show far too often, and because of all the silly stuff in the first part of the season none of it makes much sense. Plus, I really hoped Daphne was dead because I found her so annoying.
Oh well. It passes the time, and I'm glad you're enjoying it anyway.
Yes. I seriously contemplated switching off half-way through. I've just stopped caring about these people and the intestinal and unconvincing convolutions of the plot.
I gave up a few episodes into this season. I have never seen a show with such random characterization. Plus, they all have brains the size of a flea's.
I had to give up on Heroes in S2, I just couldn't take it anymore. I saw bits of it more recently, but ... it seems the only way to enjoy it anymore is to think of it as absolutely whacked-out crack and adopt an utterly undemanding and uncritical attitude. Meh.
I managed okay with season 2. Lots of people didn't like it but I thought it wasn't too bad. Where the show jumped the shark for me was when old Daddy Petrelli was introduced as a villain, and all that silly business with Mrs Petrelli pretending to be Sylar's mother etc etc.
Er, I'm confused about what's in the volumes but I think I never got to the episode you just saw. I've heard Lost got much better lately but the problem is often when the shows start really tanking (and IMO Lost never got as bad as Heroes) the show would have to be twice as good as it once was to get me back.

Date: 2009-03-17 12:53 pm (UTC)Yeah, that sounds about right. At least the Beeb have stopped doing those self-satisfied behind the scenes of Heroes things.
