Have just had a quick look round my flist. Lots of interesting stuff everywhere. If I didn't feel so muzzy-headed I'd try to join in the conversation, but I feel like I have nothing intelligent to say about anything. :(

Also, miffed to realise that I can't write this Darla fic exactly how I wanted, because of an annoying 12 year gap between when I wanted to set it and when certain events took place. Bother. Never mind, though. At the moment, it's far easier to write things inside my head than on screen/paper. Inside my head, I've written an angsty Captain Jack/Captain John post-TW:CoE fic (in reality, I've only written a page and a half), an Age of Reason romp through darkest London featuring Angelus and Darla (in reality, I've again only written a page and a half), this other Darla story featuring guest appearances by various Pre-Raphaelites (the one I thought would be shorter and therefore easier to get done in time for my own ficathon, and of which I've written not a word), a long, plotty Spangel story (have actually written 30 pages of this and am stalled), a series of slave fics for [livejournal.com profile] sickchicks (actually written, but for various reasons need totally re-writing), a sequel to A Man and His Dog (exists only in my head), and the next story in my Spike/Giles season 7 re-write (again, only in my head).

Hmm. I've written a lot, haven't I? In my head.

I tell ya, whoever figures out how to get the writing in my head onto the computer without me having to type it will be my HERO.

Ah, the reams of fic I've written in my head!

I have similar annoying problem with my Drogyn fic. Do you think if I mixed parts of the second crusade with the first that anyone would notice?

Your head is busier than my head. I have three false starts to my Darla story, whose main problem is none of them is actually a story, and I'm suddenly blank. I shall find a couple of drabbles to write and come back to it when I've regained the ability to plot.

I definitely can identify with the stories-written-in-your-head thing!

Ah, I have several stories in my head, too, and none of them is Darla yet. Sigh. I think I need to finish my Spander first. And the stupid RL writing with the looing deadline.

I'm sure you're right. Just need to give her some time. And that was supposed to read *looming* deadline, of course! *g*
