Fox are to air all 13 commissioned episodes of Dollhouse.

Article here.

I'm very pleased about this and hope Joss can bookend the show satisfactorily (as it seems extremely unlikely to me that Fox will commission more episodes).

The Sci-Fi Channel in the UK is starting to air season 2 from next week. I still shan't see it of course, since I don't get the Sci-Fi Channel, but though it's nice to join in the squee (or lack of it) while it's ongoing, maybe I'm better off being always late to the party, especially where this show's concerned? I can imagine the Dollhouse fandom (if there is one) could be particularly prone to wank (Eliza's outfits on their own must have created shedloads of it), and I think I would rather avoid that.

In the meantime, now I've finished Dollhouse season 1, I'm wondering what to watch next. I was thinking of rewatching Being Human, but I don't know if I'm in the mood for it. Likewise, not sure if I'm in the moood for more Babylon 5. I fell behind in [livejournal.com profile] ruuger's rewatch and have stalled at the end of season 1. Maybe I will, though. Or I could nerve myself up to watch season 4 of The Wire. Didn't need to nerve myself up for the other seasons, but because this one is about the schools, I'm pretty sure it'll be quite upsetting.

TV-wise, there is not a lot on. Spoilers within for Flash Forward and True Blood season 1 (should anyone else in the whole universe apart from me need those).

Flash Forward continues to be less than inspiring. Terribly Earnest Joseph Fiennes really, really gets on my nerves (though he has pretty eyes, like a sad spaniel puppy), and even an appearance by Gina 'Jasmine' Torres didn't do much to enliven proceedings. Not sure why I'm still hanging in there. Probably because there's nothing else on.

Re: True Blood, I watched the first episode last week and though it was mostly okay, I'm afraid my attention wandered by the end. Not surprisingly, when I was paying attention, I was most grabbed by Tara and Lafayette, the two larger than life characters. Sookie I was meh! about and Bill - I really, really did not like Bill. He was like BtVS season 1 Angel but without the humour (not that BtVS season 1 Angel was humourous except when he tried to act). We'll see. There was stuff I liked so I'll stick with it for now, and still regretting Channel 4's scheduling decision re: Generation Kill, though on the whole I think it's better for me to watch something like that on DVD because I'll probably be only able to take it in small doses and am better off watching it at my own pace.

Anyway, yay! for 13 episodes of season 2 Dollhouse, and because I am going through a bout of Whedon love (apart from the Buffy comic), I think I might try watching Serenity sometime. Maybe I'll like the movie more than the show.

There were spoiler warnings. See the last line before the cut.

Yes, I saw them!

But from this remark:

Spoilers within for Flash Forward and True Blood season 1 (should anyone else in the whole universe apart from me need those).

you seemed doubtful if anyone actually needed spoiler warnings, so I was saying that yes I do and I appreciate you taking the trouble. I was trying to say 'thanks'!
