:Bangs head on desk:

I suppose it's a good thing writing fanfic can't actually kill you.

Can it?

Hmm, I suppose banging my head on the desk isn't a terribly good idea after all.

No, I don't think it can *kill* you, but *head*desk*ing can be hazardous to your health.

Good luck with the fic in question. This trouble will pass!

Oh dear.

Does this mean my beta-ing was not helpful at all?

Because I worry.

Or is this another story that's kicking your butt?

You could do that. I mean, the end can be wherever you want it to be. It doesn't have to be all so terribly resolved.

Or maybe it's just depressing, writing a story about people being depressed during the holidays.

My advice: just end on a hug. :D

I suggest switching out the *head*desk* for a *face*palm*. Much more relaxing, but still gets your point across to yourself. Possibly.

In answer to your question though, "What writing of fanfic? No fanfic writing around here. No sirree, bob. Never heard of it. Haven't seen it in weeks."

*sob*

No it can't, even though that's how it feels. And it WILL get sorted, promise. Maybe you just have to leave it alone for a bit? Or cut something out and re-do it?

Gives you a cushion! Tssk tssk!

I don't want to give you any advice, you're a far more experimented writer than I, but I've observed more than once severe cuttings through scenes that won't work are often the best way to overcome the blocking and see how it's possible to tie the loose threads.
