Oh no, don't worry. Your beta'ing was very helpful. It's me. I still can't seem to write a satisfactory end despite that.

I spent some time today fiddling with the first two sections so the last one would work and it still doesn't. I fear my head is just not in the right place.

Maybe I should just go with my gut and get rid of the last part completely.

You could do that. I mean, the end can be wherever you want it to be. It doesn't have to be all so terribly resolved.

Or maybe it's just depressing, writing a story about people being depressed during the holidays.

I think it's very good advice. Just hope I can do it without spoiling the whole thing.
